Linear bearings are a low-cost linear motion system that is used in conjunction with cylindrical linear guides. Due to the contact between the bearing ball and the outer sleeve of the bearing, the steel ball rolls with minimal frictional resistance. Therefore, linear bearings have low friction, are relatively stable, and do not change with the bearing speed. They can achieve stable linear motion with high sensitivity and accuracy. The consumption of linear bearings also has its limitations, mainly due to the poor impact load capacity and load-bearing capacity of the bearings. Secondly, linear bearings experience significant vibration and noise during high-speed motion.

Classification of Linear Bearings
(1) Standard type, gap adjustment type linear bearing, open type linear bearing, extended type linear bearing, universal type linear bearing
(2) Flange type linear bearings can be divided into: circular flange type, flange type, elliptical flange type, guide circular flange type, guide flange type, guide elliptical flange type, and extended circular flange type.


It is divided into two major series according to specifications, namely LM and LME series Its code name LM series is used in Asia, Southeast Asian countries, Japan, South Korea, China, etc. Based on metric dimensions, the outer diameter tolerance of the straight axis used is generally H7. The LME series is mostly used in Europe, the United States, Germany, Italy and other regions. Based on imperial dimensions, there are also metric dimensions, and the outer diameter tolerance of the straight axis used is generally g6. The structural characteristics of the two series are roughly the same, except for differences in size and aperture tolerances.


Divided by shape:
1. Straight tube type (shaped like a cylinder, usually installed with snap springs, used for installing smaller sizes)
2. Flange type (with installation flanges at the ends or in the middle, which can be installed with screws. Flanges are generally divided into three types: circular, square, and chamfered)
3. Open type (shaped like a straight cylinder with axial cut on the surface, used in situations where clearance adjustment is required, divided into two types: large opening and small opening)
